HOW TO: Practice Self Love After A Breakup

I recently went through a painful breakup. Immediately I had to step into a position of moving on, being healed and overcoming feelings of hurt or shame. Practicing self love is the best way to recover from a bad breakup. This is my current routine on how I am healing from a painful breakup.

The #1 way to practice SELF LOVE is to pray about everything you are going through. Personally, I pray to Jesus, the son of God.  I ask him for wisdom, healing, guidance and understanding. Most importantly, I ask for the forgiveness of my sins and ask him to reveal in me the character traits that are not of him. By morning, I am redeemed and ready to take on the new day. #SelfLove He lifts my spirit and what a beautiful thing it is to feel the grace of God fall upon you.

#2 I journal when I feel led. Sometimes my journal post are short, sometimes long. When I journal, it's as if I am writing my prayers down and talking directly to my higher power. Its really cool when you re-read your old journaling posts and you realize prayers have been answered.

#3 Watch a new TV series or a movie that will give you a good laugh! Currently, I am watching the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Video. Make sure you don't forget to set apart time for you!

#4 Spend time with those who love you and make you feel special.

#5 Pamper Yourself: You don't have to spend a fortune to do this. Do something for YOU because you deserve it! Whether that is going to get a relaxing massage or giving yourself a mani and pedi. In my case, I took advantage of the free shipping Amazon offers to Prime members and I purchased new skincare for my skin. The skincare arrived right away and washing my face with the Philosophy Exfoliating Cleanser was heavenly. The cleanser left my skin feeling gently exfoliated and perfectly prepped for moisturizer.  After I moisturized my exfoliated skin with Philosophy Night Cream leaving my skin clear, bright and glowing. I highly recommend pampering yourself in whatever way that is to you. If it helps you to feel relaxed and at peace then you are practicing self love!

#6 Watch inspirational Youtube videos: I have many Youtube channels that I follow and watch on a daily. These two ladies have great youtube channel videos for those trying to practice self love. Adrianne Bailon Houghton from The Real and Terri Savelle Foy as your personal cheerleader of dreams are down to earth and genuine and I enjoy watching them on youtube. Here are two youtube videos that help in practicing self love.

7. Practice Self Love Daily!!!

With that being said, I would love to pray for you!

Father God, I thank you for this viewer. I thank you for making a way for usThank you for showing us that there is a way to healingAnd you will heal our broken heartI ask that you can forgive us for hurting othersI pray that you can teach me how to forgive them for hurting me.You say in your word, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” I am thankful for your grace and I thank you because this prayer is now answered.
 Amen

How to: Small Closet Space Organization

Update: I just moved into my new home, I am expecting a baby soon and I feel like the nesting season has just started!

Now that I am done all of the "Big Things",  I can now do all of my home organization. I look forward to to being able to open a closet space and know that everything is organized and in it's place. This is why I decided to blog about "How to: Small Closet Space Organization."

While browsing Pinterest on small closet organization, I realized that my closet actually isn't that small. In fact, most average apartment linen closets are about the same size as mine. This is how I organized my small closet.

To start,  I emptied my closet and decluttered all of my items. Believe it or not, this was the easy part. I used a life changing de-cluttering method created by Marie Kondo.  She has a Best Selling book called, " The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing"

This book has saved my mind from the myth of tangibility. I rather the minimalist approach for the peace of mind.

Click Here to hear more about this book!

After decluttering, I went to my local Goodwill store and purchased some plastic containers and wicker storage bins to keep everything organized.

Click Here to find your local Goodwill store in your area.

When you are ready to start the organization part, start by placing all of the bins and baskets in the closet according to likeness." Like items" on the same shelve. Then, place all of your newly decluttered items in their correct bin.

Here is what I came up with:

Top Shelve:

-Toilet paper and Paper towels

2nd Shelve:

-Shampoo/ Conditioners/ Body products in plastic bin

-Wash clothes in small wicker basket

3rd Shelve:

-Shower caps in small tube.

-Hair extensions packs in large tube

-Nail care in plastic bin

Floor:

- Craft paper, Art supplies in wicker Picnic Basket

- Unused makeup products in plastic storage bin

Because I took the time to declutter and organize one of my closets, I feel as if weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. I can finally breathe for a day or two and move on to the hallway closet. Before I sign off I want to leave you with a tip. It may seem overwhelming at first when you are staring at a closet filled with plastic bags and unorganized chaos. But, If you stick to these simple steps everything will be in it's place which is guaranteed to help you feel at peace. Take baby steps... Rome wasn't built in a day!

The Roadshow: Must have skincare and makeup for flawless skin

Today I am at whole foods Princeton New Jersey working an event for a prestigious skin care hair and make up line called mineral fusion, minerals on a mission.

While I'm here let me relieve on about some of my favorite products from this all natural 100% vegan line.  I listed the products I would use on a daily basis to achieve a flawless finish make up look that is easy and looks like your skin.

  •  The purifying gel cleanser dissolves Dirt, make up and impurities and is used for normal to oily skin types. TIP:  properly removing make up and cleansing the skin is an important part of prepping the skin for flawless make up application.

  •  I am moisturizing with a intense hydrating face cream and prepping my skin with antioxidants and peptides preparing my skin for flawless make up. TIP:  hydrated skin is smoother and allows make up to glide on and look more natural. Definitely a not to miss stuff for flawless make up .

  •  I then follow with a 100% vegan mattiffying face primer that creates a perfect canvas for foundation.  TIP:  this anti-aging gel formula glides on helping to reduce visible lines and helps with skin. I apply this with my fingertips  all over my face .

  •  I then apply mineral fusion liquid foundation  all over my face with a foundation brush. This foundation is full coverage with a matte finish  and helps to reduce shine and oil's throughout the day .

  •  Three in one color stick offers instant color for the cheeks lips and eyes .

  • Mineral fusion waterproof mascara is coded all over my lashes for length and volume eyes lashes that are waterproof and last throughout any summer day. The hourglass shape to brush evenly coats every last with a rich mineral color for waterproof lashes.

  •  I then apply a 100% vegan lipstick to my lips which gives me long lasting color and comes in 13 different shades .

  •  Mineral fusion also offers 61 beautiful shades of nail polish is with three different treatment colors polishes. TIP:  to remove now polish use mineral fusion nail polish remover for a acetone free formula that removes nail polish Easy without drying the nail.

And lastly my favorite part of working for a all natural cosmetic line such as mineral fusion is that they donate a portion of the profits to the NC ADV. National coalition against domestic violence which is a organization to help bring awareness to domestic violence and to let the brave women know that they are not alone and that no matter what they are beautiful.  Plus the line is 100% vegan and 100% cruelty free.  Mineral fusion is definitely a line to rave about and is a popular beauty line in all of Whole Foods stores.

Bobbi Y Music

Bobbi Yantorno ( Bobbi Y) is an acoustic pop contemporary Christian singer- songwriter from Cherry Hill, NJ. Bobbi Y started songwriter at age 10 and by age 11 she realized her passion for the acoustic guitar. Blessed by God she discovered that all she needed in life was her guitar and lyric book. After high school, she spent a few months living in her mothers' unfinished basement recording and producing her first album, " A Song Overdue" which she released in 2008 and was sold to friends, family and guests while working as a waitress. In 2012 she released her first studio album, " Come Around" which was released on iTunes and promoted to move through the industry in Hollywood. Bobbi then spent the next 2 years headlining gigs in Hollywood and waiting tables in Beverly Hills while networking with industry leaders and getting her songs heard. While all could have been "prosperous" on paper, she wasn't fulfilled emotionally so one day she packed up her car and drove home where her family and support was.  With hopes to thrive in a career in makeup artistry and leave the music behind. Although that was her plan, it was not Gods plan. She found herself saved by grace in the year 2015 by stumbling across a Carrie Underwood song called, "Something in the Water" on a Cherry Hill, NJ radio station 89.5 ( Air1 Radio).  Today if you were to ask Bobbi about the latest mainstream music artist, she would go on a rant about her favorite Contemporary Christian artists and how that music saved her life. That is the mainstream for her. Today, all of the music Bobbi writes is made with love and for all of Gods beloved. She cherishes spending time praying and speaking life into her music and telling stories through the eyes of a cherished bride of Christ. Bobbi Y hopes to empower others through her anointed music by sharing songs of the love, life and seasons of Jesus Christ. According to Bobbi Y, "With the seal of Christ's love, I pray that I can help in anointing the music- so we can anoint the world!" This is why Bobbi Y had to delay no longer and record and put out this beautiful record called " A Song for Healing." I pray that this song moves you into a state where you can be healed by the love that is in this one. We need to heal our nation from the inside out and especially in matters of the heart. Why not start with something that is universal and basic. Music. Made with Love.

 Bobbi Y Music Mission

To reach both followers of Christ and non-believers by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ by preaching a set of beliefs for the purpose of conversion through music and arts. Bobbi Y provides humanitarian work to improve education and health care by providing a platform for followers of Jesus to worship and learn about the love Jesus has for us while preaching and singing songs and hymns of Christian doctrines (such as the "Doctrine of Love”. )
My goal is to share the gifts God has blessed me with to proclaim to the world, through our love of God and each other, that God is real, His Word is true, and His love is forever life- changing. God says, “ Bring your whole tithe to my storehouse. Test me in this and see if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you won’t have enough for it.” Malachi 3.10
